IB Chem SL

• Paper 1: Multiple choice, 30 marks, 75 minutes, 20 percent of the total marks, no calculators or periodic table, and no marks deducted against incorrect response.
• Paper 2: a 50-mark exam, 75 minutes long, accounting for 40% of the total marks with short-answer and extended-response questions with the use of calculators allowed and an IB chemistry data booklet provided
• Paper 3: a 35-mark exam, 60 minutes long, accounting for 20% of the total marks, with questions covering core and one SL option including a data-based question and short-answer questions on experimental work in section A and short-answer and extended-response questions from one option in section B, with the use of calculators allowed and an IB chemistry data booklet provided
• Internal Assessment: 24-mark course work, graded from 5 criteria, accounts for 20% of total marks. This is an individual investigation.

IB Chem HL

• Paper 1: 40-mark, 60 minutes, multiple-choice exam accounting for 20% of the total marks, with questions covering core and HL material, without the use of calculators and a periodic table provided, with no marks deducted for incorrect answers
• Paper 2: 95-mark, 135 minutes, accounting for 36% of the total marks, with short-answer and extended-response questions covering core and HL material, with the use of calculators allowed and an IB chemistry data booklet provided
• Paper 3: 45-mark, 75 minutes, accounting for 24% of the total marks, with questions covering core, HL, and one option material, including a data-based question and short-answer questions on experimental work in section A and short-answer and extended-response questions from one option in section B, with the use of calculators allowed and a chemistry data booklet provided by the school.
• Internal Assessment 24-mark course work, graded from 5 criteria, accounts for 20% of total marks. This is an individual investigation.
